The Olive House is a charming residence built in the early 20th century, and serves as an exceptional retreat for exploring the enchanting hill towns of Umbria. Nestled in the heart of the Umbrian countryside, the villa offers a panoramic spectacle of the valley, adorned with olive trees and lavender, where guests can enjoy glorious sunsets.


A mere 20-minute drive from Perugia, The Olive House, spans over 400 sqm across two floors, boasts large bedrooms and communal areas with lofty ceilings. The gated private pool, featuring sunbeds with a scenic view, beckons relaxation. As you step inside, a cozy lounge area, equipped kitchen and a dining room welcomes you. The ground floor also hosts a double bedroom with an ensuite, offering direct access to the north-facing garden. On the first floor, two additional double bedrooms with ensuites and three twin-bedded rooms sharing a bathroom provide comfortable accommodations. Complimentary cots for infants are available. The west-facing terrace is perfect for sunset drinks and overlooks the recently renovated swimming pool. An east-facing pergola with a spacious dining table is the perfect place to gather with loved ones on a warm summer evening.


The Olive House comes from generations to generations and is a cherished family destination. Its main aim is to ensure that guests feel at home and fostering quality time with friends and family. Maintaining its allure throughout the seasons, the villa awaits guests who will come to cherish it as much as the owners do. The entire house and pool are exclusively for guests' use, with parking space for up to four cars.

The surrounding towns boast artistic treasures by renowned masters such as Piero della Francesca and Perugino. Florence and Rome are conveniently within a two-hour drive, while Siena, Arezzo, Gubbio, Assisi, and Todi can be reached in under an hour by car. Perugia, just 20 minutes away, offers a rich cultural scene, including opera and the famous Umbria Jazz festival in July.


Other enchanting hilltop towns like Cortona, Corciano, and Preggio, with its annual classical music festival, add to the region's allure. Montone, less than half an hour's drive, hosts an international crowd during its Film Festival. Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, is a must-visit, showcasing the magnificent basilica adorned with frescoes by renowned painters like Giotto, Simone Martini, and Pietro Lorenzetti.


Wine enthusiasts can indulge in tastings and tours at the region's top vineyards, easily accessible from the property. Montefalco, with its Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso vineyards, and Montepulciano, offering some of the best Tuscan wines, are within an hour's drive.


Closer to home, explore the woodlands for wild asparagus or mushrooms, participate in a gnocchi-making session with a village nonna, or embark on moonlight rides to Etruscan tombs from nearby stables. Hikers can follow marked trails to the summits of Monte Acuto and Tezio, offering breathtaking views of the Tiber Valley, Assisi, and Lake Trasimeno.


Cycling enthusiasts can choose from over 30 circuits in Umbria, with bike rental and guides available to explore the picturesque Umbrian scenery. The elite Antognolla Golf Club, a mere five minutes away, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., offers an 18-hole championship course challenging both professional and amateur golfers. Castello di Reschio, a 30-minute drive, provides another exceptional golfing experience.


Umbria is a hub for the Italian cashmere industry, with approximately 500 knitwear companies in the "Cashmere Valley" around Lake Trasimeno, including the notable Brunello Cucinelli in Solomeo, just 20 minutes away.

To ensure a pleasant stay, we would like to inform you about some additional services and charges. Please take note of the following details:


1) Kindly note that no parties or events are allowed.

2) Feel free to reach out if you would like to take advantage of our complimentary concierge service, which covers everything from organizing catering and wine tastings to arranging transfers and various other services.

3) A deposit of 30% will be charged upon booking and the remaining balance due will be charged 30 days prior to the arrival.

4) Additionally, please be aware that a cleaning fee of 200 Euros is to be paid no later than 30 days before your scheduled check-in date.

5) From mid-November to mid-April, The Olive House is on a request basis. Should you be interested in booking this property during these months, please feel free to contact us.
